Once you have your ideas down on paper you need to put together a pattern. Knowing what you plan on using your garden for will allow you to set clear goals. Consider the length of project you want to plan for. Will you be planting a little garden space or redesigning the whole area? What types of materials do you really need - aggregates and gems, rocks, sod, grass seed starting, soil or mulch? Do you need to create water features? Before you choose what to plant you have to consider what will be simple to grow and cultivate in your climate. Consider the drainage on your property along with the soil you have to cooperate with. No matter your plans, try to keep ones design versatile, cost successful and realistic.
